  • Robins are a favourite sight in UK gardens, with their cheerful red breasts and sweet melodies. This birdhouse is tailor-made for robins, offering them a comfortable and secure nesting spot. It's also possible that other small bird species, such as wrens or pied wagtails, may find this birdhouse suitable for their needs.

Best location:

To ensure robins feel welcome and safe in your garden, consider the following when situating your Reclaimed Wooden Robin Birdhouse:

  1. Height: Mount the birdhouse at a height of approximately 2 meters. This provides robins with a sense of security and easy access to their nest

  2. Shelter: Place the birdhouse in a sheltered spot, ideally under the eaves of a building or amid dense foliage. Robins prefer a well-protected nesting site

  3. Visibility: Ensure the entrance hole is not obstructed and offers good visibility for robins to approach and leave their nest. This helps them keep an eye on their surroundings

  4. Privacy: Keep the birdhouse away from high-traffic areas and disturbances. Robins appreciate quiet and privacy during the nesting season

  5. Nesting Materials: Provide nesting materials nearby, such as twigs, grass, and leaves, to assist robins in building their nest.

By welcoming robins into your garden with our Reclaimed Wooden Robin Birdhouse, you're not only enhancing your outdoor space but also contributing to the conservation of these beloved birds. Create a cosy nesting spot for robins and enjoy their charming presence all year round. Your support of our not-for-profit mission is greatly appreciated. Order your Robin Birdhouse today and bring a touch of nature to your garden with a sustainable twist.

About The Wood Shack:

The Wood Shack is one of seven social enterprises operated by JERICHO to help people who face real and significant challenges in getting a job. These could include trauma, insufficient work experience, health & wellbeing needs, education barriers and communication challenges. We do this by giving them a real work opportunity and individualised support to ultimately help them progress into sustainable employment.

Last year, we supported 16 people including five survivors of modern slavery, 100% of those who completed their project progressed into a positive outcome and we generated an estimated £200,000 in social value.
